In the war against my current living situation, there is a chance that I may have victory at last. My brother and his fiancee have bought a house and will be taking possession on the first of July. This means that the apartment they're currently living in will be vacated and ripe for the taking! Though before I get too far ahead of myself by doing a happy dance and all, I still have to talk to his landlady about taking over the place. Rent is currently 650 a month plus another 150 to 200 for utilities. There's also gas for the car since the apartment is in Lacombe and I work in Red Deer. My dad figures it'll cost me around 1200 a month give or take a hundred bucks.
Side note: Hot chocolate made from Nesquik bunny syrup is damn sweet. I think my teeth are rotting as I drink it.

And now I shall take a moment to do some pimping.

The Comedity: Drawn by one Garth Cameron Graham, this is one of my favorite web comics. It's updated once a week on Mondays which means that for the other six days of the week I sit and wait for the updates. The art work is simply fantastic and Garth has an excellent sense of humor.

Applegeeks: Script by Ananth and Artwork by Hawk. I want to say that it updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays but I really can't remember anymore. Anyways, great story lines and the characters are funny. There's also a bonus below the regular comic. It's called Applegeek Lite and seems to be based on whatever the AG team wants it to be. From what I have observed Hawk likes to vary his drawing style, proving his versatility as an artist.

Megatokyo: Written and drawn by Fred Gallagher this comic takes the form of a manga novel. The art is great, the story catchy. There's been some changes from the begining of the comic to it's current stages but it's well worth the read. It's also publish in hardcopy which can actually be found on the shelves of your local Chapters or Indigo store if you're lucky. I've got a couple of the books and would love to get my hands on the current issue.

Dominic Deegan, Oracle for Hire: Story and Art by Michael "Mookie" Terracciano. Drawn, inked and colored by hand, this comic is rather unique. Mookie enjoys a large use of puns and word play. Updated daily, this is much like reading a comic strip in the newpaper. The storylines can last for weeks, even months and many of the arcs deal with relevant daily issues such as politics or religious standpoints with the characters dealing with internal battles of will while trying to remain strong when the world seems to be against them. Not exactly light reading at times but just when things seem to be getting too heavy Mookie will throw in something completely quircky.

WTF Comics: Story and art by Jeremy Waller. This is an EverQuest based comic following Annashi the woodelf on her quest to become a Druid and find her father. The updates are sporadic but I'm hooked on the story so I read it whenever I can. There's also a second comic called A Dajin's Tale which is partially based off one of the main characters of WTF.

I realize I probably seem a bit snobbish with the "comic reviews" . Really, I just like to read them and hope that other people will check out the links and maybe they'll find something to their liking.

And now I'm off to annoy my siblings and attempt to read every issue of Fruits Basket that my little sister has. Ciao!

Quote of the Day:

Alliance Commander:
"You fought with Captain Reynolds in the war?"

Zoe: "Fought with a lot of people in the war."

Alliance Commander: "And your husband?"

Zoe: "Fight with him sometimes, too."

PS: Love you Josh.

So I've had a cold for the last few days. Not a big deal, other than I hate how raw my nose gets from the kleenex. Go home to spend Mother's Day with the family. It went surprisingly well, mother's mental breakdown aside. Yeah, Mom had a regression back into depression but fortunately has now taken steps to fix said problems. On wards! So I wake up Monday morning after sleeping for twelve straight hours (bed at 11 pm, woke up 11:15am). That should have been my first clue that things weren't quite right. Get dressed, stumble up stairs and into kitchen. Go to give morning greetings to family and the only thing that comes out is a great impression of Mumbles the mob boss. Clear my throat and try again. Now I sound more like a 60 year old chain smoker. My mom's friend drops by, she's an RN. I say hi and she's just about ready to haul me down to the doctor's office. The general consensus is that I've got laryngitis. I haven't had that since I was about 6. So I called my boss to say I wouldn't be into work so I could get a little extra rest and hope that it worked. But I think that today I'll be heading down to the clinic to get a doctor's note or maybe an antibiotics prescription. Wish me luck.
Love you Josh. I hope your cold doesn't turn into this too.

Dr. Gregory House: I'm extremely disappointed. I send you out for exciting, new designer drugs, you come back with tomato sauce.
