So much for the new car thing. Had my first accident yesterday night and bashed it all up. I no longer have a right hand headlight and there's a chunk missing out of the front bumper. Winter time sucks.
Was driving back to my aunt and uncle's place last night going south on Gaetz Ave and got to the lights on Gaetz and 28th St. Just got to the line and the light turns yellow so I go through and right as I do some guy driving north on Gaetz takes a left turn right into my path. Stomp on the brakes and try to swerve. I wind up running into his rear bumper. He calls the RCMP and we wind up down at the station giving statements and insurance info and whatnot. I was sort of out of it by that point, all worried about my insurance going up and repair costs so I wasn't saying much, plus I was crying a bit. Winds up that no one talks to me at all and I get sent home with a ticket for following too close. It didn't click in until I got home that I'd been charged with something that hadn't happened. Yes, I hit his rear bumper but we'd been going opposite directions and he turned into my path. So far as I know, vehicles going straight through lights have the right of way. So I went back to the cop shop today and the desk clerk tells me that to fight the ticket I have to go to court on the date printed on the ticket. So in the mean time, I look like I'm in the wrong, which means there's the risk of me having to pay for repairs of his car as well as mine. Isn't life grand? Oh well, I decided that I'm not going to fret over it since I have enough on my plate what with school being in a month. One thing at a time.

Love you Josh. Thanks for the support.
